My name is Stephen. As a Historian and media expert, I am passionate about old films and all kind of archival material. Over the years I got specialized in the research and licensing of footage, pictures and other third party material for documentaries and other media projects.

I have the German and French citizenship. I studied history, communication sciences and media management in Berlin and Hamburg.

For several years I worked as a producer, production manager and visual researcher for different production companies. I have been involved in various historical documentaries for the channels ZDF, ARD and ARTE.

In 2015 I attended the masterclass “Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris”, a one-year training program for European film producers and distributors at the film schools “Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg” (Ludwigsburg), “La Fémis” (Paris) and the NFTS (London).

Since 2020 I am working as a Freelance Archival Researcher and Producer based in Berlin.
I am one of the initiators of the “Archive Day” by the European Film Market (EFM) during the Berlinale film festival.
